Back in the mid to late 2000's, I went all out building a monster custom Roland V-Drums kit which initially started as a very basic, stock TD6 kit but quickly grew to becoming a double decker monster with two Gibraltar racks stacked on top of each other, a TD12 module, a TD20 expanded module and a TMC6 trigger expander. I also built many of my own custom acoustic to electronic drum conversions.
This was the result...
About ten years ago, I downsized it somewhat prior to a house move. I've been using it with the configuration below but it is now in need of some repairs and a bit of TLC. I've got the bug to build a new version of the original monster kit too.
I'll post new photos as the rebuild continues.

I got stuck into this rebuild a couple of days ago and also repaired my broken hihat foot pedal. I redesigned the trigger mechanism in the pedal, replacing the mechanical sensor with an optical one of my own design.
