This gorgeous HMV Sceptre 80 HiFi system from the early 70s is a major nostalgia trip for me. This is the very same model my parents had when I was little and was foundational in my musical development. Mum would play Boz Scaggs, Beatles, CCR, Abba, John Denver and many other now classic albums while she was doing things around the home while dad was at work. My sister and I loved hearing those albums on that system!
This one I have recently acquired is in extremely good condition and works beautifully. The only thing it needs is a new stylus. Even the original dial lamp still works!
Oh, and it still has the plastic protective rings around the control knobs that are usually long gone!
